Psalms 105:1 “Give thanks to the Lord, and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.”
Our Christian walk has so many facets. It seems like there is never enough time to attend to all the aspects that goes with this new life.
Today we are in the beginning of a beautiful weekend leading up to the celebration of our Risen Savior. Today is a wonderful day to count the many blessings that God has placed in your life.
For me, I don’t think there is any substitute for writing out a list of blessings. I like to write things down. As you commence writing things down, you will come back and forth during the busyness of your day. Five minutes here and five minutes there, you think about the blessings as they come to you. It builds you to a crescendo. An overwhelming emotional experience that will really change the course of your day.
Today, that’s exactly what I’m suggesting you should do. Get that sheet of paper and just keep it on your desk, in your pocket, and on your car seat. Look at it, and think about it periodically during the day.
As things come to you that are blessings in your life, write those things down. As the day goes on, your list gets longer. The spiritual crescendo you experience will be worth your time. By the end of the day, you truly will be blessed.
“Count your many blessings.
Name them one by one.
Count your many blessings.
See what God has done.”
Have a blessed day.
