Colossians 3:13-14 “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
Last Friday, my office security greeter, Sesena, went mad. Sesena usually loves everyone who comes through the door. Friday, she turned into the Tasmanian devil.
One of my dear friends and clients came through the door to greet me. Sesena, who is three pounds after she has a full meal, attacked him. Or should I say she attacked the sole of his work boot. She sounded like a miniature bobcat.
I was troubled. I scolded her and put her in a chair to cool off. As the day progressed, Sesena did not get better.
Ultimately, I determined that Sesena was in heat. Hormonally, she was on the edge. So I have been cutting her slack.
We all have those around us that sometimes show their bad side. It’s as though they are in heat. (Just kidding.)
Often, just like Sesena, there are things in their life that is contributing. They may be in pain emotionally or physically.
Just like with Sesena, you have just got to look beyond their pain and forgive a little. As such you “bear with them.” You create opportunities to minister.
Hopefully, you will be able to share Christ. Just think, today you could bring someone the solution to their problems. That solution may be Jesus.
Have a blessed day.
