Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold on firmly to the hope we profess, because we can trust God to keep his promise.”
If you are ever around small children long enough, sooner than later you will hear the question, “Do you promise?” After a while, it almost gets a little irritating.
Your child asks you, “Will you take me to the movies?” You say, “Yes.” Their next question is, “Do you promise?” After being asked the question several times, you finally give in and say, “Yes, I promise.”
Why does your child ask you that question?
I’m absolutely convinced that it gives them a certain amount of hope, comfort, and certainty about the future.
I believe that is one of the benefits for us as believers. We need to know that God’s promises are present, because it gives us hope and security for our future.
Today, as you think of God’s promises, and know they are there for a purpose… becausewe need them. They provide hope, comfort and security for the future.
Have a blessed day.
