Psalms 33:18 But the Lord watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love.
The Fourth of July was a great time. It is always one of my favorite holidays. I just like fireworks. As a youngster in Northern Illinois, I would spend every Fourth of July at Pottawatomie Park. There, we would lie on the riverbank and watch the fireworks being shot from across the river. It was the most amazing of time.
This Fourth of July, I was standing next to a young lad, probably 7 years old, who had his head tilted back staring into the sky at the fireworks in absolute awe. I don’t think he ever blinked once.
Just as that young lad stared into the sky, the Bible tells us that God watches over us with the same intensity. With attention, satisfaction, and love. And better yet, God’s attention doesn’t end when the fireworks stops. His attention on us is never-ending and with an unfailing love for us.
Today, think about the intensity a child has when watching fireworks on the Fourth of July. Then think about God watching you with that same intensity. Then realize His attention onyou never ends.
Have a blessed day.
