Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest.”
You know you’ve had a good vacation when you head back home so that you can recover from all the fun.
The older I get the more I covet the perfect night of rest. My grandson could crash for 8 to 10 hours any night of the week. As for me, 5 to 6 hours and I was up. Usually with some aching joints.
God promises us rest in the midst of our labor. Yes the work is hard. But God promises it will never be too much.
God offers us rest if we will turn to Him. What that means is that you surrender yourself to Him. In His spirit, you find comfort and a calmness that passes all understanding.
This evening, before you go to bed, take 5 minutes to spend with God in prayer. Imagine God lifting the weights from your shoulders.
Have a blessed weekend.
