Are You Fixed?

Isaiah 26: 3 “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”

If someone asks the question of you, “Are you fixed?” it will probably create in you emotions and thoughts of offense.  In fact, your first response may be “It’s none of your business whether I’m fixed.”

The Bible tells us that if our thoughts are fixed on Christ, that it will keep us in “perfect peace.”  The Bible describes it as the peace that passes all understanding.

I have observed many a believer who, during tough times, seem to maintain a, “perfect peace” despite their circumstance. I am squarely convinced it’s because of our focus on Christ that we are so different. We do not react to wind and wave like the rest.

Notice that the scripture doesn’t  say that for those who are sometimes fixed oroccasionally attentive that they are in perfect peace. It simply says those who are without exception, in thought, fixated to Christ Himself, that they are in perfect peace.

No matter whether you are the janitor sweeping the floor or the president of the United States, you have the ability to be fixed on Christ in every moment of your day.

Today, claim His promise and surrender your thoughts and attention on the Lord Jesus Christ.  Commit to not turn from the right or the left.

Remain attentive and trust in Him. There you will find perfect peace.

Have a blessed day.
