Let Me Drive

Galations 3:6 “So also Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

As believers, by the very definition of our title, we accept that it is not by our works but rather by our faith that we are placed in  the favor of God. But for so many of us, we start our journey by faith but then so easily slide into a life of living in our own efforts.

driverAbraham was truly a great man of God. But in the end, it was because of his faith,  because of his reliance on God for solutions and blessing that he was credited with righteousness.

You will face days when the obstacles of life can seem as though there is no solution within your grasp. It may be a shortage of money, the lack of a job, or problems in life that you simply cannot overcome.

Know that  although you don’t have the solution and it may seem hopeless, God doeshave a solution to every problem you experience.

For many of us, it requires that we believe and turn over the driver’s seat to God. But, God will not drive if you do not let Him.  For Abraham, it was not that there were no bumps on his journey.  It was that he turned over the wheel to God and then followed His direction.

Today, be honest. Is God steering your car? Have you given Him the wheel for your every step?  Or rather do you stop occasionally to ask God, “How is my driving?”

Why not try today to give God the controls?  You will enjoy the ride.

Have a blessed day.
