Acts 4:12 “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”
I try so hard. Do you ever catch yourself saying something like that when reflecting upon your efforts at living a Christian life?
Usually it’s in the face of feeling that you’ve failed or fallen short of living and walking close to God. You may have made a mistake. You may have done something that has created an obvious element of sin in your walk. You feel guilty, and you feel like you’ve fallen so far short of where you were supposed to have been and wanted to be for that matter.
It’s in those times that we just have to look to the strength of all that matters. The name of Jesus Christ is proclaimed to be the only source of salvation. It’s because of the gift that He has given us and our acceptance of that gift that we’ve been set free.
It is not because you work hard. It’s not because you say all the right things and read your Bible everyday. It’s because you’ve given our life to Jesus Christ, and He’s become your personal savior.
So don’t get caught up in the guilt trip, bathed in anxiety that you’ve somehow failed. You probably have, and you probably will, some more in the future.
Just because you’re born again doesn’t mean that you walk perfectly. It simply means that you walk in the light, and that light is Jesus Christ. Get rid of your guilt and keep your eyes up. According to God, that’s all that matters.
Have a blessed day.
