John 3:17 “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.”
Christmas, a time of plenty and celebration. A season when our spirits are higher and happier.
But for many around us, during the holidays, life is a struggle. People often find themselves short of money to provide their family with even Christmas presents. Sometimes, even the basics of food.
Many become depressed with or without reason, making the season the worst of times.
I’ve had many a successful friend who, despite their plentiful place in life with money and possessions, still struggle terribly with such things as depression and emotional turmoil.
For many, they endure the season with an attitude that they can’t wait to get through the end of this year. They often wonder if God even cares about them enough to want them to have positive things happen in my life.
We all know someone around us that is in this season of difficulty. I guarantee you, if you work in a group of six people, there will be at least two who are in one of these troubled places!
During this time, we have a great ministry to those folks. They need to know the message that Jesus Christ did not come to condemn them. He does not want bad things to happen to them. He does not want to see them do without.
Christ came into the world with one mission, and that is to save the world through Him. To give hope for today and hope for tomorrow.
This week is one of the most opportunistic times for us as Believers to minister to those around us. We just need to open our eyes now and pay attention. They are there.
We can be their Jesus for this season.
Have a blessed day!
