2 Thessalonians 3:3 “But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.”
Last night, I found myself unable to sleep. I had case after case popping in my mind for some reason with me thinking about the worst. You know that big question: “What will happen?”
What will happen if I lose?
What will happen if things don’t go my way?
What will happen if I can’t take the pressure?
Many of us live in a world of worry and fear, whether we will accept it or not, of what will happen tomorrow. Sometimes, a little bit of that keeps us working hard. But most of the time, we become caught up like a leaf floating on the water being tossed to and fro.
We simply worry about what might happen if the worst occurs in our lives. For the non-believer, I can understand that. There is no certainty of what will occur tomorrow, and there’s definitely no certainty of what will happen in eternity.
But for us as believers, there’s a different path. We have the promises of Christ. That He is covering us. That he is guarding us. That he is strengthening us. That he ultimately guarantees our today, tomorrow, and our eternity.
Rest in the confidence today that God has you covered. Read Psalms 91, and rest in His strength. Today, relax your eyebrows, and don’t fret. God has you in the palm of His hand all the time.
Have a blessed weekend!
