Don’t Miss Your Chance

1 Peter 3:15 “Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life.  And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.”

Last Friday, I found out that one of my clients was in the hospital with significant medical problems. I kept saying over the weekend, “I’m going to go see him because I really would like to pray for him and talk to him about the Lord.” I really thought he was a believer, but I wasn’t sure.

Over the weekend, I just got sidetracked.  There were just too many things on my plate. I didn’t go. I simply forgot.

timeTuesday, I found out that he’d passed away. On my drive home thinking about him, I couldn’t help but feel sadness about the opportunity I had missed.

As believers, we often have chances to tell others about the Lord at very crucial points in their lives. The Bible tells us that we should be ready to take advantage and explain about the good news of Jesus Christ and what difference He can make in their life.

Today, don’t miss your chance. I will never have the chance to tell that person about Jesus again.

Have a blessed day!
