I need benefits!

Psalms 68:19 – “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with  benefits, the God of our salvation!  Selah.”

Generally, when we think of the word “benefits,” what almost always come to mind is that which we receive as a result of our employment. It’s part of our package. It’s oftentimes what we must have in order to make the job worthwhile.

benefitsFor so many of us, having benefits means having health insurance, having long-term and short-term disability benefits, having vacation time, and having sick days from work. All of these things make up our benefit package. They so often are the source of what takes care of us through times of trouble and sickness.

For many, the thought of taking a job without benefits makes the difference of whether you take the job at all.

Scripture tells us that God loves us on a daily basis with benefits. Those benefits are not health insurance, short term disability, or vacation days, but they are benefits that make an eternal and daily difference in our lives. God promises that He has a benefit package for you. It is his daily involvement in your life if you will receive it.

God promises that he loads us up with benefits every day. That means that He is involved within your life on a daily and momentary basis, every second of every day. Its so easy to lose sight that God is involved in your every moment.

Today, count your blessings, name them one by one, and know that God is at work every moment with you.

Have a blessed day!
