Ephesians 2:3-5 “All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead.”
Are you just like everyone else? This is a difficult question to answer. You could look at it from the point of humble and respond that “I’m no better than anyone else.”
You could also say, “No, I’m not like everyone else. I am unique. I’m a special person and have value.”
But how does God see you?
If you’re a believer, you are not like everyone else. You have been reunited to the love of God. God sees you as special. God sees you as His child. You are a new creature. You’re not like the rest.
You still have a choice to walk like the world or walk like a new creature, but no matter what, you are still a new creation in Christ.
Hold fast to your identity as a new creation in Christ. Don’t live in guilt or feel condemned by your walk. We’ll all stumble, but that doesn’t change who we are.
You are sons and daughters of God. A child of the King. Hold your head up.
Have a blessed day!
