Proverbs 5:21 – “The Lord sees everything you do. Wherever you go, he is watching.”
Last night while I was having dinner, I felt this eerie feeling that somebody was staring at me. We’ve all had this feeling, the sense that somebody is watching us. I all of a sudden heard a little whimper. I looked down to see Mia staring up at me. For some reason, she seems to do this a lot at dinner time.
I think it’s a she believes that if I see her desperate and intense effort to make eye contact with me that I’ll give her something to eat from the table. Last night, we were having spaghetti, so I’m sad to say there was no chance she was going to get spaghetti off of my plate.
In some cultures it is actually not polite to make eye contact. But in our culture it’s pretty important that we try and make eye contact with the people that we are speaking with for many reasons. Scripture tells us that God is not only attentive through communication, but He’s also watching everything we do.
Today, recognize that God’s attention is on our each and every moment as believers in Christ Jesus.
As a believer, I don’t have to beg for God’s attention to gain His eye contact. God is not with such limitation. In effect, His eye contact is on each and every one of us at all times. The only limitation is the ones that we create in our self.
Today, relax in the confidence that God is gazing in your direction all of the time.
You do not have to beg to be seen.
Have a blessed day!
