Confidence of the Godly

Ephesians 3:12 “Because of Christ and our faith in Him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.”

old church buildingDo you find yourself feeling that you don’t really have God’s attention? I’m convinced that that misconception often forges the notion that we don’t deserve to be in God’s presence.

We are all sinful creatures, and as such, we don’t deserve to be in God’s presence. Thank God that is not the end.

We, as children of God, can be confident that we have a right to be in God’s presence and that we have God’s interest in us through Christ Jesus and our faith in Him.

Feel joy in the confidence that you do have God’s attention. The Lord is interested in you today. He is interested in the experience of your life. Amen and amen.

Have a blessed day.

Encourage With Your Words

Ephesians 4:29 “Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.”

~~~old church (3)Everyone knows someone who seems to say whatever they think. Unfortunately, these people’s words are often with harsh effect.  The Holy Spirit wishes to affect our speech to be good and helpful, and he wants us to choose our words wisely so that we might encourage others.
When I think of the individuals who’ve had the greatest impact on my life, I think of positive, encouraging, uplifting people.  It takes practice to develop a pattern of speech that is good and helpful. Start by praying and speaking encouraging words to yourself. It’s not wrong for you to speak reassuring words to yourself and think inspiring thoughts. All too often we become our most harmful critic.
When you’ve made it a point to speak kindly to yourself, take the next step and pray that God will create and prompt your spirit to recognize and seize the opportunity to encourage another with your words.  You can do it.
Have a blessed day.
